TestFlair AI
TestFlair AI is an assistant built into the platform. You describe what you want in plain language and it does the work against your real projects — reading your user stories and test cases, and creating or changing them with your approval.
TestFlair AI is a Beta feature and may not be visible on every account. Contact your workspace admin or [email protected] if you'd like access.
Starting a Conversation
Click TestFlair AI in the sidebar. Type your request and send it.
Responses stream as they are generated. If a response is going somewhere you didn't intend, cancel it rather than waiting — you don't have to let it finish.
Referencing Your Work with @
Type @ to mention a work item — a project, user story, test case, test script, run or plan. The assistant then works against that specific item instead of guessing which one you meant.
Mentioning a project pins the conversation to it. Actions that change something apply to the project you mentioned, regardless of what the assistant infers from the rest of your message. To work on a different project, mention that one.
Slash Commands
Type / to open a menu of actions — Create, View, Edit, Generate, Execute and Mention, each branching to the kind of work item it applies to.
Most of this menu is not live yet. Today only Create → Test case can be selected; every other entry is greyed out and marked Coming soon. This is a shortcut menu, not the limit of what the assistant can do — ask in plain language for anything else.
Conversation History
- New Chat starts a fresh conversation.
- Recent Chats opens a list of your recent conversations.
- History shows all of them.
- Rename a conversation inline to make it findable later.
Long conversations load older messages on demand rather than all at once.
Approvals
Anything that changes your data pauses and asks you first. You accept it, edit it, or reject it — nothing is written without your say-so. See Approvals.
Troubleshooting
I don't see TestFlair AI in the sidebar
- It is a Beta feature. Contact your workspace admin or [email protected].
A slash command is greyed out
- It isn't available yet. Ask for what you want in plain language instead.
The assistant worked on the wrong project
- Mention the project with
@and ask again. The mentioned project takes priority over anything inferred from your wording.
The assistant can't see an item I asked about
- It works with your own permissions. If you cannot open something in the web app, the assistant cannot either. See Roles & Permissions.
