Groups
A group is a named collection of workspace members. Groups save you from managing access one person at a time — assign a group to a project and every member of that group gets access in a single step.
Creating a Group
- Open Teams and go to the Groups section.
- Click Create Group.
- Enter a group name and an optional description.
- (Optional) Choose a default project role for the group's members.
- Select the members to include.
- Review your selection and click Create Group.
tip
Group members around how they actually work — for example a "QA Team" or "Frontend Squad" — so you can grant project access to the whole team at once.
Editing a Group
Select Edit on a group to:
- Rename it or update its description and default role.
- Add members — pick additional workspace members to include.
- Remove members — take individuals out of the group (one at a time or several at once).
Deleting a Group
Select Delete on a group and confirm. Deleting a group does not remove its members from the workspace — it only dissolves the grouping.
Assigning a Group to a Project
You assign groups to projects from the project's settings, not from the Teams page:
- Open the project and go to its Team Members settings.
- Choose Assign Group and select the group.
Every member of the group gains access to that project. Removing the group from the project revokes the access it granted.
Next Steps
