AI Browser Automation
AI Browser Automation lets TestFlair drive a live browser to exercise your application using AI, complementing the scripted Selenium/Playwright runs. Instead of executing pre-generated code line by line, the AI navigates and interacts with your app to validate the test case.
AI Browser Automation is a Beta feature and surfaces from the test-scripts area. If you don't see the option, it isn't enabled for your account — contact your workspace admin or [email protected].
Scripted Run vs. AI Run
| Scripted run | AI browser run | |
|---|---|---|
| How it works | Executes generated Selenium/Playwright code. | AI interprets the test case and drives the browser live. |
| Best for | Stable, repeatable regression. | Exploratory checks and steps that are hard to script. |
| What you watch | Live browser stream + step logs. | Live browser stream + AI action logs. |
Both run on the same live-browser infrastructure, so you get the same live viewing experience — a streamed browser session, real-time logs, and metrics.
Running
- Open a test case's run view from the Test Scripts area.
- Choose the AI browser automation option (shown when the flag is enabled).
- Provide the target URL and confirm your execution preferences.
- Start the run and follow along in the live browser and log panels.
AI browser runs consume Flairs. Check your balance under Settings → Usage.
Testing Local Apps
If your app runs locally or behind a firewall, set up a tunnel first so the cloud browser can reach it — see Testing Local Applications.
