Upload Your Requirements
Uploading requirements is the most important step. The AI uses your uploaded content as the source of truth to generate user stories, test cases, and test scripts.
What to Upload
A Business Requirements Document (BRD) describes the business needs, features, rules, and constraints of the system. The clearer and more structured the content, the better the generated results.
Typical content includes:
- Feature descriptions
- User flows
- Business rules
- Validation rules
- Error scenarios
Supported Input Methods
You can add requirements using one or both methods:
- Upload Files — Upload one or more document files
- Add as Text — Type or paste requirements directly as text context blocks
At least one input method is required before generating user stories.
Supported File Types
You can upload multiple files within the same project:
| Format | Extensions |
|---|---|
.pdf | |
| Word | .doc, .docx |
| Rich Text | .rtf |
| Plain Text | .txt |
| Spreadsheet | .xlsx, .csv |
Other formats — including PowerPoint decks and images such as .png or .jpg — are rejected at upload with an "Unsupported file type" message. Images can still be attached to bugs as evidence; they just aren't read as requirements.
How to Upload
- Open your project — Navigate to your project from the sidebar or dashboard
- Go to the Project Data tab — This is the first tab in your project
- Click Browse Files — Select one or more files from your device, or drag and drop files into the upload area
- Review the uploaded files — Verify file names and sizes are correct
Adding Text Context
In addition to files, you can add text context blocks:
- Click the text input option
- Enter a title for the context block
- Write or paste your requirements
- Save the context block
You can create multiple text context blocks to organize different aspects of your requirements.
Once uploaded, files and text blocks are listed in the project and can be viewed or removed before generation.
Ensure your requirements are well-structured and complete before uploading. The quality of generated output depends directly on the clarity and detail of your input.
Next Steps
After uploading your requirements, you're ready to:
