Billing & Flairs

TestFlair meters AI work in Flairs. This page explains what consumes them, how plans and wallets work, and how to manage your subscription.

What Flairs Are

Flairs are TestFlair's platform credits. Anything that calls an AI model costs Flairs:

  • User story generation
  • Test case generation
  • Test script generation
  • Test data generation
  • The AI steps of a Jira import, export or field mapping
  • Attachment processing

Reading, editing and organising your work costs nothing. Only AI operations (generation, imports and AI analysis) are metered — running tests does not consume Flairs.

Free-tier accounts receive a starting allowance. Paid plans include a larger allowance, and you can top up at any time.

Personal and Team Wallets

These are separate, and the distinction matters when you are billed for both.

WalletWho it covers
PersonalYour own plan and your own Flair balance
TeamA team subscription with its own workspace and its own Flair pool, shared by that workspace's members

A team subscription is independent of your personal plan — topping up one does not affect the other. Work done inside a team workspace draws on that workspace's pool.

Managing Your Subscription

Go to Settings → Billing.

info

Cards are managed by Stripe, not inside TestFlair. The billing page displays the card on file; to add, replace or remove one, use the Stripe checkout flow when upgrading or adding funds.

Tracking Usage

Go to Settings → Usage to see your total allowance, what remains, and a per-feature breakdown with progress bars.

note

The breakdown charts four categories only — attachment uploads, user story generation, test case generation and test script generation. Other Flair-consuming operations (test data generation, AI bug generation, user story import and the Jira AI steps) count against your Remaining Flairs total but are not broken out individually. If your balance is falling faster than the bars suggest, that is why.

Earning Flairs Through Referrals

Invite others and earn bonus Flairs — see Settings → Referral Program.

Beta feature

The Referral Program is a Beta feature and may not be visible on every account. Contact your workspace admin or [email protected] if you'd like access.

Troubleshooting

Generation failed with an out-of-credits message

  • Your balance is spent. Nothing will generate until the account is topped up or the subscription renews. Use Add Funds for an immediate top-up.

My team's Flairs aren't showing on my personal balance

  • They are separate pools by design. Check which workspace you are working in.

My balance dropped without the usage bars moving

  • The bars chart four categories; test data generation, AI bug generation, user story import and the Jira AI steps are metered but not charted. See the note above.
