Workspaces & Teams
A workspace is the shared home for your team's projects, requirements, test cases, and bugs. Everyone you invite into a workspace collaborates inside the same set of projects, with their access governed by the role and groups you assign.
If you belong to more than one workspace (for example, your own and a client's), you can switch between them at any time without logging out.
Key Concepts
| Concept | What it is |
|---|---|
| Workspace | The top-level container for projects and the people who work on them |
| Member | A person who has been invited to and joined a workspace |
| Workspace role | Sets a member's permissions across the whole workspace — Owner, Coordinator, or Member |
| Project role | Sets what a member can do inside a specific project — Project Admin, QA Manager, Tester, Business Analyst, Developer, or Viewer |
| Group | A named collection of members you can manage and assign to projects together |
Switching Workspaces
The active workspace is shown in the workspace switcher at the top of the sidebar.
- Click the workspace name to open the switcher.
- Select another workspace from the list.
TestFlair reloads your projects and data for the workspace you chose.
The Teams Page
Open Teams from the sidebar to manage everyone in the current workspace. The page is organized into three sections:
- Members — invite, view, re-assign roles, and remove people.
- Roles — review default roles and create custom ones.
- Groups — bundle members together and assign them to projects in one step.
You need the Owner or Coordinator workspace role to invite members, change roles, manage groups, and remove members. Members with the Member role can view the Teams page but cannot make changes. Billing and workspace settings are Owner-only.
Next Steps
